Organizer(s): Gill Foundation and Funders for LGBTQ Issues
April 4, 2016
4:00 PM - 5:00 PM ET
Please join us for a webinar especially for LGBTQ funders: Lessons from 5 Municipal Nondiscrimination Campaigns. The Gill Foundation and Funders for LGBTQ Issues will be hosting this presentation by Equality Federation and Freedom for All Americans. Two recent reports, both funded by the Gill Foundation, will be discussed: Municipal Matters: Lessons for Local Nondiscrimination Campaigns from Equality Federation Institute, and “Houston, we have a problem”: An Evaluation of the Houston Equal Rights Ordinance (HERO) Campaign from Freedom for All Americans.
These reports will focus on lessons learned in local campaigns in Royal Oak, MI; Pocatello, ID; Springfield, MO; Fayetteville, AR; and Houston, TX. Equality Federation staff will do an overview based on all 5 cities, and then Thalia Zepatos, a consultant with Freedom for All Americans will do a deeper dive into the evaluation of last year’s campaign in Houston.
Presentations will be followed by time for discussion.
We are excited to host this special opportunity for funders who are supporting, or are considering supporting nondiscrimination public education work in the states.
This webinar is confidential and for a selected audience, as it contains important strategic information which will help frame the work moving forward. Please click on the link to register for the webinar.
Our hope is to learn from the past, so we can win in the future. Please join us.
