This session—for both private and public foundations—will cover the essential dos and don’ts of funding election-related activities by 501(c)(3) organizations including voter engagement and registration work, issue advocacy, and ballot measures. After discussing the basics, we’ll explore when and how foundations can engage with social welfare and labor organizations. Join an expert from the Alliance for Justice to review the election activities that 501(c)(3) organizations can engage in, and hear from colleagues about their recent on-the-ground experiences.
