Funders for LGBTQ Issues, Arcus Foundation, and Wellspring Advisors would like to thank you for your interest in this important conversation.

Funders for LGBTQ Issues, the Arcus Foundation, and Wellspring Advisors are pleased to invite you to a funder salon on intersectional funding.

Join us for a frank discussion about the many opportunities and challenges involved in funding LGBTQ progress via a cross-issue approach. This salon will build on a funder briefing of the same topic many of us attended at this year's Creating Change in Denver. The Arcus Foundation and Wellspring Advisors recently commissioned a report called The New Now: Working Together for Social Change. Researched and written by the Building Movement Project, The New Now examines how two states, Ohio and New Mexico, are building power needed to win policies and protections by using a cross-issue agenda with LGBTQ leadership and concerns authentically centered.

Using The New Now as our starting point, this funder salon will be an honest conversation about how funders can work creatively to support intersectional efforts within the parameters of your foundation's priorities.

If you are a funder currently supporting or interested in supporting powerful work being done across race, immigration status, gender and class, this is the conversation for you.

Come share your ideas, your fears, your hopes and your dreams with your community of funders committed to LGBTQ communities. (Space is limited to please RSVP soon)

Please note, we originally mistakenly scheduled this event for the evening of Yom Kippur, a Jewish high holiday. To respect this very important holiday for Jewish people, we decided to reschedule the date and location of the Intersectional Funding salon to Tuesday, October 13th from 3:30-5:00pm. *A happy hour will follow at the Madison Square Tavern, conveniently located only a few blocks away. This is just the first in a new series of funder salons and happy hours that we hope will foster learning and community among LGBTQ funders.
