What Now? The Future of LGBTQ Philanthropy

Organizer(s): Donors Forum, Funders for LGBTQ Issues, Gill Foundation, Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors

November 11, 2015
12:00 PM - 2:00 PM CT
Donors Forum, Large Conference Room
208 S. LaSalle, Suite 1535
Chicago, IL 60604

After the monumental win for marriage equality, philanthropists and foundations interested in LGBTQ issues are at an inflection point. This panel of leaders and thinkers in philanthropy will discuss a variety of issues related to the impact of this win on the greater movement, and how donors can continue to support its ongoing work. We will hear about major initiatives underway across the nation, and what donors are prioritizing today to make sure that this policy win improves the lived experience of all LGBTQ communities. And finally, we will discuss how other movements can learn from this victory, and what the LGBTQ community can learn from other movements.

Speakers will include:

  • Brad Clark, Vice President of Partnerships, Gill Foundation
  • Lyle Matthew Kan, Director of Research and Communications, Funders for LGBTQ Issues
  • Jeanne Kracher, Executive Director, Crossroads Fund
The panel will be moderated by Jon R. Quinn, Philanthropic Advisor at Rockefeller Philanthropic Advisors.
